President Barzani Welcomes President of Armenia

President Masoud Barzani warmly welcomed President Vahagn Khachaturyan of Armenia to Salahaddin on Thursday, February 29th.

During their meeting, President Khachaturyan praised the progress and stability of the Kurdistan Region, acknowledging President Barzani's role in fostering a peaceful environment and promoting coexistence among communities, as well as combating terrorism and extremism.

President Barzani, in turn, expressed appreciation for the historical ties between the Kurdish people and Armenia, thanking President Khachaturyan and the Armenian government for their respect towards Kurds residing in Armenia. Both leaders affirmed that peace is paramount in resolving regional challenges and ensuring a better future for upcoming generations.

Additionally, discussions centered on enhancing trade relations between the Kurdistan Region and Armenia. Addressing the Kurdistan Region's relations with the Federal Government of Iraq, President Barzani emphasized the importance of adhering to the constitution as the key to resolving issues between the two entities.
