President Masoud Barzani received President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Türkiye in Erbil on Monday evening.

The meeting described the visit of the Turkish President and his accompanying delegation to Baghdad and the understandings and agreements between Iraq and Türkiye as important and historic and a factor of development and peace.

The meeting also emphasized the development and expansion of relations between Iraq, the Kurdistan Region and Türkiye in order to strengthen regional stability, cooperation and coordination in various fields, deepening the principles of neighbourliness and promoting economic relations.

Discussing the latest developments in the region was another topic of the meeting.
