President Barzani receives Consul General the State of Kuwait in Erbil

President Masoud Barzani received Mr. Osman Dawid Elawid, Consul General of the State of Kuwait in Erbil. 

 In the meeting, the Kuwaiti Consul  General in Erbil conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Emir, the people and the government of Kuwait to President Barzani and while emphasizing the friendship and relations between the two sides, he praised the peace and prosperity of the Kurdistan Region.

 In the meeting, President Barzani described the relations between the Kurdish people and the Kuwaiti people as historical and deep and said that the Kurdish people and the Kuwaiti people feel the pain and difficulties imposed on both peoples as a result of chauvinistic thinking. 
 
He stressed that for the sake of brotherhood and stability in the region, chauvinism, occupation and self-imposition must end.

 The political situation in the region and relations between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Federal Government of Iraq were another topic of the meeting.
