President Barzani receives the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Erbil

President Masoud Barzani received, on Saturday, September 21, 2024, in the Salahaddin Resort, Mr. Maxim Rubin, the Russian Consul General in Erbil.

During the meeting, the political situation and the latest developments in the region were discussed, and the Kurdistan Parliament elections scheduled for next October were highlighted, in addition to the relations between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Iraqi Federal Government, and the positive results of President Barzani's recent visit to Baghdad.

The meeting also referred to the historical relations and long-standing friendship between the Kurdish and Russian peoples, and the important milestones of these friendly relations. The Russian Consul General in Erbil stressed the continuation of establishing friendship and friendly relations between the two sides under all circumstances.
