The March 11, 1970 Agreement was a historic and important achievement of the struggle of the people of Kurdistan led by the immortal Mustafa Barzani. For the first time, the Iraqi government recognized part of the rights of the Kurdish people, and the opportunity arose for the people of Kurdistan to be able to manage their affairs, strengthen their language and culture, and achieve stability. This agreement was the result of the struggle of the Peshmerga, party cadres, and all groups and segments of Kurdistan during the September Revolution. It embodied strategic and important lessons from which the subsequent stages of the Kurdish liberation struggle drew lessons, and contributed to supporting and strengthening the legitimate cause of the people of Kurdistan.
On the 55th anniversary of the March 11 Agreement, we send thousands of greetings to the souls of the martyrs of the September Revolution and all the revolutions of Kurdistan, and express our appreciation to all the Peshmerga and the fighters of the September Revolution who were able to achieve this historic gain for their people thanks to their steadfastness, resistance and determined will.
