Kurdistan Democratic Party Spokesman released a statement

This evening, a media outlet reported that the KDP has requested to postpone the elections to another time in order to participate in the elections under the same conditions, measures and laws.

We hereby declare that this news has no basis and the KDP insists on its position and does not accept any illegal interference in the elections and considers it necessary to resolve all technical deficiencies and constitutional and legal violations in the conduct of elections in order to hold clean, free and constitutional elections and all Kurdish citizens of all communities have the right to vote and the election results are not altered.

Postponing the elections has been discussed with the KDP as an option for the KDP to participate in the elections. We would like to reiterate that the KDP is always in favor of constitutional, transparent and fair elections. Even if the elections are postponed, the constitutional, legal and technical amendments necessary to hold fair and free elections must be made.
