The Director of Public Prosecutions has summoned Noshirwan Mustafa before the court after a lawsuit was filed against the General Coordinator for the Gorran Movement after he instructed his followers to launch attacks on consulate buildings and kidnap oil company engineers operating in the Kurdistan Region.
According to Kurdistan TV news, the Chief Justice in Erbil said, "due to the proliferation of audio clips where Noshirwan Mustafa has threatened to launch attacks on consulate of foreign countries, the court is demanding the presence of the defendant in front of the judiciary."
In the audio clips, Mustafa can be heard instructing his followers to kidnap oil company engineers operating in the Kurdistan Region, as well as targeting the headquarters of consulate and attacking foreign dignitaries.
