Mirani: The objective of the Kurdistan Democratic Party is to unify the people and political parties

Fadhil Mirani, Secretary of the Kurdistan Democratic Party's Political Bureau, said that Kurdistan's political leadership is vying for salvation of the crisis facing the Kurdistan during a meeting with the British Ambassador to Iraq, Frank Baker and Angus McKee, the British Consul General to Kurdistan.

On the issues of differences of opinion between the political parties, Mr Mirani said that it is a part of the foundations of democracy and peaceful coexistence, adding that this natural variation in Kurdistan is in the supreme interest of the people.

During the meeting, both sides pointed to the latest developments in the region, where Mr Mirani noted that the KDP always tries to calm a difficult situation and aim to resolve differences through dialogue and understanding.

The meeting concluded with both sides discussing and exchanging views on the current situation in the Kurdistan region and bilateral relations.
