President of Kurdistan Region receives a joint delegation of consuls and representatives of Arab countries in Erbil

President Massoud Barzani on Tuesday received a joint-delegation from the consuls and representatives of diplomatic missions of Arab countries in the Kurdistan Region.

During the meeting, the delegation expressed their congratulations to President Barzani on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, and assured him that their respective countries will continue to support the government and people of Kurdistan.

The delegation also voiced their admiration respect for the courage and sacrifices of the Peshmerga forces and people of Kurdistan, and stressed that this approach always carries a message of peace toward others, one of the innovate methods of stability and coexistence in the region.

In contrast, President Barzani thanked the members of the visiting delegation on the attitudes and description sovereignty and existence of representations of Arab countries in Erbil and said it serves as a message of the extent of friendship and sympathy between the people of Kurdistan and Arab states.

He then talked about the risks and threats of terrorism and said it's a threat to the entire world, stressing that confronting terror is the duty which falls on all countries of the world, particularly the Islamic and Arab countries, and pointed out that the role of these countries is an important and sensitive on the issue of countering terrorism.

The delegation consisted of the Consul General of the State of Palestine Nazmi Hzori, Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in Erbil Rashid Al Mansouri, Consul General of the Republic of Sudan in Erbil Yassin Awad, Consul General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Erbil D.abdalmnam Rahman, General Consul of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Erbil Haitham Oboalfol, Consul General of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Erbil Umar Fahmi, and Assistant Consul General of the State of Kuwait in Erbil Mosaed al Kleb.
