Hawrami: Our relationship with Jordan is historical

 

Hawrami discusses the historical depth of bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Jordan and Kurdistan, and noted that President Barzani looks at the importance of the historical dimension of these relations during a meeting with the new Jordanian Consul General to Kurdistan Haetheam Salih Abo Foul, during the meeting, where Hawrami, the Head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party's Foreign Relations Office, offered congratulations on behalf of the Kurdistan Democratic Party's leadership for the new Consul and wished him success in his work to serve the interests of both parties. The pair also touched on the issues between Baghdad and Erbil, and exchanged views on the latest political and military developments in the region.

For his part, Mr. Abu Foul declared his satisfaction with the new tasks as consul of his country, in Kurdistan, and thanked President Barzani for the warm reception during a meeting with Arab diplomats to the region earlier this week, and praised the bravery of Peshmerga forces in the war against the terrorist organisation - Daesh. He pointed to the generosity and hospitality shown by the people of Kurdistan to receive the avalanche of refugees and displaced persons as a result of the difficult conditions experienced by the region
