Mirani stresses KDP's commitment to resolving political issues

Fadhil Mirani said that the Kurdistan Democratic Party is seriously attempting  to resolve differences between the political parties in Kurdistan Region, as he received Jonathan Cohen, deputy US Ambassador to Iraq, and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, Mr Mirani focused on the latest developments and the current situation in the Kurdistan Region.

Mirani thanked the government and the people of the United States for their humanitarian and military aid in particular the Peshmerga forces who are combatting against Islamic extremists in northern Iraq.

Mirani said that the Peshmerga forces of the Kurdistan has become a symbol of sacrifice and redemption, and the symbols of resistance defending on behalf of the world for peace and democracy.
