Barzani: The time has arrived for Kurds to vote in a referendum

The Chancellor and Head of Kurdistan Region Security Council Masrour Barzani said that the time of the referendum is now convenient during a meeting with British Parliamentarian Nadim Zahawi.

During the meeting they discussed the political developments and bilateral relations between Baghdad and Erbil, and the impending liberation process of Mosul where Barzani stressed the importance of a political agreement for the management of the city after its liberation.

The two sides also discussed the importance and steps to hold the referendum and agreed that the timing is convenient for the people of Kurdistan to vote on an independent state.
