Kurdistan PM meets with the US ambassador to Iraq in Baghdad

The Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Nechervan Barzani and his accompanying met the outgoing US Ambassador to Iraq Stuart Jones for talks on the latest political and military developments and relations between the province and the federal government of Baghdad.

The departing Ambassador Jones said he hopes cooperation between the political parties will continue and said he was pleased with the progress made between Kurdistan and Iraq, thanking both sides for their support and liaison with him.

For his part, Mr Barzani thanked the US ambassador for his support and cooperation with the consolidation of relations between the two sides. He said to make every effort in order to reach a solution with the Iraqi government on the outstanding problems.
