During his visiting to Baghdad, the KRG Prime Minister Nechervan Barzani met with the Head of Iraqi National Accord Movement, Dr Iyad Allawi, for talks focusing on the general situation in Iraq and relations with Erbil.
Mr Allawi welcomed the Kurdish premier and his accompanying delegation where both sides highlighted the latest developments in the war against terrorism in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, the political situation and the administrative process.
In another aspect of the meeting, the two sides discuss the potential liberation of Mosul, Iraq's second city which is held under Islamic State occupation. They agreed that there must be mutual agreements established for management and coordination of Mosul after it’s been recaptured.
Speaking about relations between the KRG and central government of Baghdad, Mr Barzani stressed that the solution to these problems is in the best interest of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, it is essential that the dialogue will continue and in earnest between the Kurdistan region of Iraq and the Federal Government to resolve all the problems are formulated.
