Hawrami heads KDP delegation at ICAPP annual conference

A Kurdistan Democratic Party delegation led by Hemin Hawrami head of KDP’s FRO is visiting Kuala Lumpur on a three-day trip to participate at the ICAPP annual conference.

The delegation, which includes Abdulsalam Zebari, members of the KDP's Foreign Relations Office, and Nada Mergasuri  member of Kurdistan parliament, took part along with 93 other political parties from 36 countries from 1st - 4th September in the Malaysian capital where participants will discuss a range of topics currently engaging Asian regions.

Mr Hawrami delivered a speech on the opening day where he emphasised on the latest military developments in the Kurdistan Region. He spoke about the victories Kurdish Peshmerga forces have made against fighting the so-called Islamic State in northern Iraq before moving to focus on the stability and peaceful coexistence.

On the situation in the Middle East, Mr Hawrami said the political and security system is failing and requested support from representatives for the Kurds to install plans for their impending referendum.
