Hemin Hawrami said the Kurdistan Democratic Party prides itself on finding solutions to resolve disputes based on legal and peaceful measures to the benefit of the Kurdish people, during a meeting with the Dutch Consul General to Erbil Janet Alberta.

Speaking about the current situation in Kurdistan, the Head of KDP’S Foreign Relations Office explained the current military developments and emphasised the victories achieved by the Peshmerga forces in fighting against Islamic State terrorists.

Mr Hawrami reflected on the impending liberation process of Iraq's second city, Mosul, where Kurdistan Region President Massoud Barzani is visiting Baghdad for talks with the Iraqi government to initiate the process. He added that until the Kurds and Iraqis can mutually agree on the aftermath of liberating Mosul, military action can begin.

For her part, Ms Alberta expressed her praise fulfilling her duties in the Kurdistan Region and was admiring the experience of working in a peaceful society. Mr Hawrami congratulations Ms Alberta on her role and wished her success on behalf of the KDP.
