Hemin Hawrami confirmed that the Kurdistan Democratic Party will continue to eradicate terrorism in the region and pointed to the existence of a common understanding between Baghdad and Erbil to liberate the city of Mosul.
This came during a meeting with the British Ambassador to Turkey Richard Moore and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest political and military developments in the region where the head of Kurdistan Democratic Party’s foreign Relations Office Hemin Hawrami emphasised the internal situation in Kurdistan and the differences between the parties and ways to solve them. On the impending liberation of the northern city of Mosul, Hawrami said there is mutual understanding between Baghdad and Erbil, and stressed that any force outside the Iraqi Ministry of Defense does not allow them to participate in this operation.
The last peace process in Turkey was a focal point at the meeting.
For his part, Ambassador Moore praised the stability and security in the Kurdistan region, stressing the importance of peace and the role of President Massoud Barzani for the success of this process.
He stressed on the continuation of his government's military and humanitarian support to the process of liberalisation of Mosul.
