Hawrami: No stability in the Middle East unless Kurdish issues are resolved

Hemin Hawrami, Head of Kurdistan Democratic Party Foreign Relations Office, stressed that the Middle East will not enjoy stability and security unless solutions are found for Kurdish issues.

"Stability in the region will not be achieved unless the Kurdish and Palestinian issues are resolved amicably with the presence of legitimate governments." Hawrami said, while delivering his presentation in the third panel of the Alsharq Forum Conference in Istanbul, where he is representing the KDP.

Hawrami said that the "very important conference and to attend some 100 personalities and parties that are important figures in the equation of the Middle East."

He focused on the role of the Kurds in general and the role of the Kurdistan Region, especially President Massoud Barzani, in creating stability in the region through the fight against Daesh and the fact that the Kurds are acceptance of others and the ability to co-exist with others.

Hawrami stressed the importance of liberalization of Mosul and how to manage it after its liberation and ways to accommodate the hundreds of thousands of displaced people, while stressing that the battle for Mosul would be the beginning of a new phase in Iraq.
