Hawrami: Peshmerga has defended all national and religious sects without discrimination

Hemin Hawrami has paid tribute to Kurdish Peshmerga forces who have made a vast amount of sacrifices fighting against terrorists across parts of the country and shown good sprit in respecting national and religious sects while defending their land and stability.

This came after meeting with the Netherlands Ambassador to Syria, Gerard Steehig and the Dutch Consul General in Erbil, Ms Janet Alberda, for talks on the current developments in the Kurdistan Region.

Speaking about the crisis in Syria, the Head of Kurdistan Democratic Party's Foreign Relations Office said it was vital to show a united front in western Kurdistan to achieve the demands and rights of the Kurds.

Both Dutch representatives expressed their admiration toward the people of Kurdistan for tolerating the vast amount of internally displaced people amidst their own recent economic downturn. 

They added praised on the Peshmerga forces for valiantly containing the threat and battling on against Islamic extremists and hoped for future stability in the region and reaffirmed that the Netherlands government will continue to prove humanitarian aid and military assistance.
