Head of the Foreign Relations Office Mr. Hoshyar Siwaily attended a seminar on the study of genocide perpetrated against the People of Kurdistan organized by the Centre for Studies, Research and Academic learning of Kurdistan Democratic Party in association with Salahadin University, this Seminar's objective was to review and analyse the current studies and practices in relation to the crime of Genocide perpetrated against the people of Kurdistan during 1980s of the Last Century by the former Iraqi Regime of Saddam Hussein and against the Yazidi Kurds by ISIS.

A panel of five speakers covered different dimensions of the crime including legal, educational and constructive ways of keeping these crimes against humanity fresh in the memories of current and future generations.

Kirmanj Osman: Legal dimensions of Genocide

Dr Ibrahim Sindi:  How to compensate the Kurdish People for the atrocities and genocidal policies of the former Iraqi Regime.

Abu Baker Jaff: Connection between Nation and collective memories.

Ayad Kakayee: Issue of Genocide and its current legal dimensions
