Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Mr. Nichervan Barzani, on Wednesday 17/1/2108 received Mr. Brett McGurk, the US president's envoy to the war against terrorists ISIS Deputy Secretary of State Wandrio Bek and US Ambassador to Iraq.

Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Mr. Nichervan Barzani, on Wednesday 17/1/2108 received Mr. Brett McGurk, the US president's envoy to the war against terrorists ISIS Deputy Secretary of State Wandrio Bek and US Ambassador to Iraq and the delegation accompanying them.

In a meeting attended by Mr. Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, the delegation expressed its satisfaction at the reduction of tension and the positive meetings and meetings between Erbil and Baghdad and hoped to continue meetings in order to reach acceptable results, especially on the issue of airports, salaries and other needs of the region.

The delegation also expressed its support for these steps and for a serious dialogue between the two sides,  Kurdistan Region and Government of Iraq stressing the relations between the United States and the Kurdistan Region and the continued support and support of the Kurdistan Region, and expressed support for the political process and elections in the Kurdistan Region.

In addition PM Nechiravan Barzani thanked the United States of America  for the role of the American-led coalition, which has played an active and significant role in recent years in the war against Da'ash, (ISIS) it is essential that the coalition continue to encourage Erbil and Baghdad to solve the problems. He also expressed his satisfaction with the meetings held in the past few days Between Baghdad and Erbil  negotiation teams, which made a  good steps forward, and considered this as a serious step t solve the outstanding issues the hope that the meetings will reach results in the interest of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

With regard to the internal situation of the Kurdistan Region, the Prime Minister stressed that there are serious  talks between the political parties in the Kurdistan Region and all parties are seeking to conduct reach an agreement and hold an elections.

Further discussion took place related to wider issues in the Region, bilateral relations and developments in the region and the Middle East was another aspect of the meeting.
