KDP Foreign Relations Office Congratulates the Republic of Italy on its National Day

On the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Italy, the Foreign Relations Office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party extends a congratulatory message to the Consulate General of Italy in Erbil, as well as to the Government and people of Italy. In the message, while emphasizing the depth of the historical relations, the Office praises Italy’s constructive role in supporting stability and development in the Kurdistan Region.

Text of the congratulatory message of the KDP Foreign Relations Office:

On the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Italy, the Kurdistan Democratic Party extends its congratulations to His Excellency Tommaso Sansone, Consul General of Italy in Erbil, and to the Government and friendly people of the Republic of Italy.

In its congratulatory message, the KDP Foreign Relations Office stated that this important national occasion is regarded as a symbol of the values of democracy, freedom, unity, and the will of the people—values that are deeply respected in Kurdistan and form part of the foundations of the struggle of the people of Kurdistan for freedom and their national rights.

On this occasion, the Kurdistan Democratic Party expresses its gratitude and appreciation for the longstanding friendship and strong relations between the Republic of Italy and the Kurdistan Region. These relations have been built on mutual respect, shared interests, and common values, and over the years they have grown stronger through diplomatic engagement, cooperation, and high-level visits and exchanges between the leadership and representatives of both sides.

The Kurdistan Democratic Party highly values and appreciates Italy’s constructive role and important contributions in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, particularly in supporting peace, stability, development, and dialogue. It also hopes that new horizons will be opened in the future for expanding cooperation in the fields of diplomacy, trade, education, culture, and people-to-people relations.

On the National Day of the Republic of Italy, with great respect and hope, we in the Kurdistan Democratic Party reaffirm our commitment to preserving and expanding these relations, and to working toward building a better, more prosperous, and more advanced future for the people of Kurdistan and the people of Italy.
