KDP Foreign Relations Office Congratulates Sweden on its National Day

On the occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom of Sweden, the Foreign Relations Office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party extends its congratulations to the Government and the friendly people of Sweden.

On behalf of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, the Foreign Relations Office is pleased to extend its warmest congratulations to Your Excellency, the Government, and the friendly people of the Kingdom of Sweden on the occasion of Sweden’s National Day.

On this important national occasion, we take the opportunity to honor Sweden’s longstanding values of democracy, human dignity, equality, social justice, freedom, and respect for diversity. These values have earned Sweden a special place of respect and recognition among the nations and peoples of the world, including the people of Kurdistan.

The people of Kurdistan hold deep respect and appreciation for Sweden and the Swedish people. For many decades, Sweden has provided shelter, protection, and human dignity to many Kurdish refugees during times when our people faced difficult and challenging circumstances. This humanitarian support will always remain remembered with gratitude in the hearts and minds of the people of Kurdistan.

We highly value the position and opportunities that Sweden has provided to Kurdish generations and the Kurdish community in Sweden, enabling them to become active, successful, and positive contributors to Swedish society. Many Kurds in Sweden have successfully and positively contributed to public life, education, business, culture, civil society, politics, and the economy, while also serving as a bridge of friendship between Kurdistan and Sweden.

The historic relationship between the Kurdish people and the Swedish people is built on mutual respect, shared humanitarian values, and people-to-people ties. We look forward to further strengthening and expanding these relations in all areas of mutual interest, including culture, education, development, democratic participation, and economic partnership.

Through Your Excellency, we extend our congratulations to the people of Sweden and wish continued peace, prosperity, and success to the Government and people of the Kingdom of Sweden.
