KDP delegation participate in FAES conference in Madrid KDP-FR MADRID 12/12/2012 A Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) delegation attend a 4-day conference in the city of Madrid, at the official invitation of former Spain Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar, president of Foundation for Social Studies and Analysis (FAES). The KDP delegation includes Sherko Habeb, Dlayar Ajgeyi  members of the Foreign Relations Office who are participating in meetings from 10th – 14th December 2012. During the meetings, Mr Aznar conducted lectures on the current situations in the Middle East and North Africa and on the role of law in democratic societies by the former Foreign Affairs Minister of Spain. Representatives of the KDP, discussed, at the meetings, the present situation in Kurdistan and Iraq. They emphasized on the problems created by the central government, in particular, prime minister of Iraq, Nouri al-Maliki showing a lack of commitment to the Iraqi constitution, Convention of Erbil and the autocracy in Iraq. KDP’s delegation met with representatives of the Egyptian Wasat Party, the Lebanese Ketauab and other parties attending this conference. FAES, Foundation for Social Studies and Analysis was created in 1989. It’s a private and non-profit organisation, a leading think-tank committed to nurturing the political ideas and activities of the liberal and reformist centre. The Kurdistan Democratic Party is the only party invited from Kurdistan and Iraq to attend these meetings.
