Head of KDP Foreign Relations Office receives British Foreign Affairs Envoy

KDP-FR ERBIL 12/12/2012 Head of Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Foreign Relations Office Hemin Hawrami received British Foreign Office Envoy Angus Miller to discuss the latest developments in Syria. Mr Miller said the Syrian conflict would affect the Middle East and International Relations and asked for the KDP’s policy and their position relating to this matter. Mr Hawrami explained that the KDP’s leadership is particularly interested in Syrian affairs due to the two million Kurds in their population and their impact on the Kurdistan region. He reflected they support the Syrian People’s Revolution who has an influence on the Syrian situation. There is believed to be fifty-three thousand Syrian refugees in the Kurdistan region, who will be supported.
