‏President Barzani receives the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Iraq

President Masoud Barzani received British Ambassador to Iraq Mike Bryson Richardson.

 

 

‏ The meeting, which was also attended by Ms. Rosy Cave, British Consul General in Erbil, discussed the political situation and the latest developments in the political process in the Kurdistan Region.  In part of the meeting, President Barzani stressed that the interests of the Kurdish people are above all other interests and that the elections should be held in the Kurdistan Region and no other issues and excuses for postponing them are acceptable.

 

‏ The meeting also exchanged views on the reforms of the Ministry of Peshmerga and stressed that the organization, renewal and reform to the Kurdistan Peshmerga forces should be in line with the principles, morale and sovereignty of the Peshmerga.

 

‏ The obstacles facing the relations between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Iraqi Federal Government were another topic of the meeting.
