President Barzani receives a high-level delegation from the Syriac Catholic Church in the world

President Masoud Barzani received Patriarch Marignatiws Yusifi III of the Syrianic Catholic Church and an accompanying delegation consisting of a number of distinguished bishops of the Syrianic Catholic Church in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and the Middle East.

 In the meeting, the Patriarch of the Syrianic Catholic Church thanked President Barzani for his efforts to protect the principles of coexistence, citizenship and peace between the communities of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, and called for these principles to be deepened.
 In another part of the meeting, President Barzani stressed that the Kurdish people are proud of the culture of coexistence and called this culture a great asset for the Kurdish people.

 The meeting also strongly condemned the act of burning the Holy Quran by a Swedish man and described it as an irrational and individual act and stressed that the sacredness and high values ​​of humanity must be respected.

 The participants of the meeting expressed their deep condolences to the families of the victims of the earthquake that occurred this morning in Turkey, Syria and several other Middle Eastern countries.
