Barzani and al-Hakim discuss political situation in Iraq

President of the Kurdistan-Region Massoud Barzani received Mr Ammar al-Hakim, Head of the Islamic Council and his delegation. President Barzani welcomed the delegation and briefed Mr Hakim on the development of relations between Erbil and Baghdad. Mr Hakim initially expressed his condolences to President Barzani for his sister’s passing, and then discussed the current political situation and the Federal Government's relations with the Kurdistan region. The two sides reviewed the provincial Council elections held recently and its results.
