The Kurdistan Democratic Party's Head of Foreign Relations Office Mr Hemin Hawrami received the British General-Consul of Kurdistan Mr Hugh Evans in Erbil.

Their meeting discussed the current political situation in Kurdistan including the upcoming elections and the drafting of the Constitution where Mr Hawrami stated that it is the right of the people of Kurdistan to cast their vote in elections and within a democratic process for results not to be returned to parliament. He also noted that a democratic process will not fall behind as President of Kurdistan-Region Massoud Barzani has requested for a British election observation using civil organisations.
