Statement of the Spokesperson of the Kurdistan Democratic Party:

The situation in Iraq and the region is so distorted that a major upheaval is expected. In this situation, it is the responsibility of all Iraqi forces and parties in general and the constituent parties of the state administration coalition in particular to assess the situation more closely, especially the impact of the latest decision of the Federal Court of Iraq on the removal of the head of the legislature, which increases and deepens the complications. This is despite the expectations that the existing conflicts and problems should be resolved rather than accumulating more issues in a way that threatens social peace and stability.

Our party is concerned about the latest political developments, so we consider it necessary to evaluate the situation in Iraq in terms of political, security, economic and the expected possibilities of the region and take responsible steps to rectify the situation in accordance with the permanent constitution and the principles of the State Administration Coalition Agreement and the Federal Government Agenda, in particular the provisions relating to the Federal Council and the Federal Court. We must also return to the principles of building a new Iraq (partnership, consensus, balance) and consolidate the sovereignty of the constitution, which is the only guarantee of coexistence, stability and unity in Iraq.
