President Masoud Barzani receives UK Ambassador to Iraq

On Wednesday, 13 March 2024, President Masoud Barzani received Ambassador Stephen Hitchen, UK Ambassador to Iraq.

During the meeting the political situation in Iraq, regional developments, security situation and efforts to maintain stability in Iraq were discussed.

The meeting also exchanged views on the election of the speaker of the Iraqi parliament, relations between Erbil and Baghdad and the decisions of the Federal Court.

The internal situation in the Kurdistan Region and the elections were another topic of the meeting.
