President Barzani Receives Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran

On Friday, President Masoud Barzani welcomed  Minister Ali Bagheri Kani, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, along with his accompanying delegation in Salahaddin.

During their meeting, they discussed the current political landscape in both the region and Iraq. The conversation highlighted the importance of strengthening relations and friendship between the Kurdistan Region and the Islamic Republic of Iran, with a particular focus on enhancing cooperation in economic, trade, and cultural sectors.

Mr. Bagheri Kanni expressed his gratitude for the Kurdistan Region's supportive stance regarding the recent helicopter crash and the tragic death of the Iranian President and his entourage. He also thanked President Barzani for sending a special delegation to attend the funeral of the Iranian President and his entourage.
