Kurdistan-Region President Massoud Barzani said the relationship between the Kurds and the Supreme Council is a sacred relationship focused on the pride of Kurds, recalling the advisory opinion of the Imam Muhsin al-Hakim prohibiting the Kurdish culture.
President Barzani spoke when visiting Chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council Ammar al-Hakim in Baghdad today, to be wise as long as he encouraged him to visit Baghdad, noting that the atmosphere now poised to take serious steps and the process of national reconciliation in Iraq and fortify what is happening in the surroundings.
For his part, Hakim said of Mr Barzani’s visit to Baghdad is an important message promote national harmony and confirm that the Iraqis diversity belonging to the fatherland and cherish it.
A statement by the Office of the President of the Supreme Council stated: President Barzani is an important figure in the national project, referring to the sponsorship initiative of Erbil in one of the most important events of Iraq. Barzani returned as a personal influence in the management of domestic and regional files.
Also speaking of this visit, al-Hakim said, “this visit expressed integration between the Federal Government and the KRG on the basis of partnership between the components,” praising the relationship that linked the Supreme Council, describing their relationship is deeply rooted, calling for, “the exchange of experiences between local governments new in the provinces and between the Kurdistan region of Iraq.”
