President Barzani and the new Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives make a phone call

President Masoud Barzani and Mr. Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, the new Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, made a phone on Friday, November 1, 2024.

During the phone call, President Barzani expressed his support and congratulations to Mr. Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani on his election as Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives. The new Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives thanked President Barzani for his position and support in resolving differences and electing the Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives.

The call also emphasized the need to address and resolve pending issues, as well as pass laws and legislation that serve the interests of Iraqi citizens of all components and contribute to resolving differences within the Iraqi political process.
