In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

On the occasion of the New Year and the birth of Jesus Christ (peace be upon him), I extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to all Christian brothers and sisters in Kurdistan, Iraq and the world, wishing them happiness and peace.

On this occasion, I emphasize the importance of deepening the culture of coexistence and brotherhood among the components of Kurdistan. I hope that our Christian brothers and sisters will celebrate all their happy holidays and occasions in an atmosphere of security, harmony and reassurance.

I hope that this occasion will be the beginning of establishing peace, calm and stability in our region and the world as a whole.
