During his participation at the Munich Security Conference, President Barzani discussed military operations with chairman of US Senate on Foreign Relations, Robert Phillips Jr, against the terrorist organisation, so-called "Islamic State." Phillips Jr expressed his delight on Peshmerga's victories, and the pair spoke of the situation in Kurdistan, and financial aid to Peshmerga forces.
Philips also went on to say the name of the Kurdish Peshmerga has become respectable and likeable amongst the American people.
