Hemin Hawrami has said that the full support of Kurdistan Region President Massoud Barzani to the Kurds of Rojava - a de facto autonomous region in northern Syria - had a "unifying effect" on political discourse, after meeting with Mr Futoshi Matsumoto charged d Affaires Embassy of Japan in Syria and Mr Sou Watanabe, Secretary at Japan's Embassy in Iraq.
Mr Hawrami initially thanked the government and people of Japan for providing humanitarian aid to Kurdistan in support of refugees and internally displaced people.
Both sides discussed the current political climate in the region and ways of addressing issues and its handling of the crisis.
The Head of KDP's Foreign Relations Office highlighted that his party's position is to stand firmly to unify Kurds, from all areas of the region and surrounding territories.
For his part, Mr Matsumoto thanked the KDP FRO for the warm reception and stressed that the Japanese government will continue to help those in need of assistance in the region.
He said the efforts of President Barzani and the Peshmerga forces in scoring victories to defeat terrorism is considered as an "act of courage and bravery" and his country pays its full respect.
"They provided the greatest service to humanity so it is the duty of the world to provide assistance and help with the reconstruction of the places destroyed." he added.
