Hawrami: KDP making sacrifices for the freedom and stability of Kurdistan

Hawrami said in a meeting with Romanian Consul General to Erbil, Mihaita Ene, that the Kurdistan Democratic Party is making sacrifices in order to achieve freedom and stability for the Kurdistan region, and it will continue to pursue its approach until their goal is reached.

The Head of KDP's Foreign Relations Office expressed thanks to the government of Romania for their military and humanitarian support, and for providing ongoing assistance in the war against terrorism; adding praise to the Romanian Parliament's decision to send security experts to the region. He also gave an overview to the current political situation in the region, stating that assistance from the international community is needed to overcome implications, particularly, the expertise and skills to implement reforms.

Mr Hawrami highlighted his party's position is to stand firm to unify Kurds from all areas of the region and surrounding territories.

 

Mr Ene stressed that his government will continue to support the Kurdistan region and hails the importance of relations between both sides. He said that the threat of terrorism to Kurdistan is also a threat to Romania and the European Union, therefore developing diplomatic ties is a priority.
