President Barzani: There is not one crisis that could hinder democratic progress and victory for our people

President of the Kurdistan Region Massoud Barzani delivered a speech during the inauguration of the American University in Duhok and touched on the ongoing political, economic and administrative reforms, saying that the it is a process that will succeed. The ceremony was attended by government ministers, parliamentarians, ambassadors and regional consulars, where Mr Barzani said that the month of March is the Kurdish month of destiny, as the region saw many sacrifices made and victories against the former tyrant regimes of Iraq for over a decade.

President Barzani also expressed his delight at the inaugural event, exerting his wishes to become one of the best universities in the Middle East. The fourteenth of March is hailed as an important day today for Kurds it is the birthday of Mulla Mustafa Barzani, the uprising and the liberalisation of Dohuk province in 1991. He added that the opening of the American University in Kurdistan Dohuk, adds joy to the last events that happened on this historic day.

Mr Barzani also thanked all those who contributed to the building of this university and congratulated the citizens of Duhok, wishing for success to students and administrative staff.
