Mirani praises Peshmerga forces and Barzani's role in meeting with Moroccan delegation

Fadhil Mirani praised the role of President Massoud Barzani for leading Kurdistan’s Peshmerga forces in the war against Islamic extremism.

The Secretary of the Kurdistan Democratic Party Political Bureau stressed the importance of Mr Barzani’s role in addressing terrorism through its participation in the frontlines across the country during a meeting with a Moroccan Social Democratic Party delegation led by Alyas Alamari and consisted of Abdulrahman bin Daw, Mouhammed Zewtoni and Abdulrahman Betjawi.

Mr Mirani emphasised the importance of relations between the two parties and said he prospered for enhanced friendship. He briefly touched on the history of Kurdistan, and spoke of the progression of the region throughout the years, focusing on the KDP principles and its founder, Mulla Mustafa Barzani.

For their part, the Moroccan delegation thanked Mr Mirani for the warm reception and will also look for ways to promote ties between them.

The meeting was attended by Mohammed Mahmoud and Ribawar Yalda,Ramzi Samzi Shaban  members of KDP’s Political Bureau, and Head of KDP’s Foreign Relations Office, Hemin Hawrami.
