Mirani: "It is the international community's responsibility to help the Peshmerga"

 

The secretary of the Political Bureau for the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Fadhil Mirani, said that the Peshmerga forces fighting against Daash is the responsibility of all parties that believe in humanity.

This came during a meeting with the General Consul of Germany to Erbil, Marc Eichhorn. Mirani thanked the German government for their part in helping the people of Kurdistan in its war against terrorism, and highlighted the latest developments, in the region and problems with the central government's budget suspension; and stated that this requires a commitment from the international community of its responsibility and provide more logistical support and military forces of the Kurdistan Peshmerga.

For his part, the German Consul General expressed satisfaction with the delivery of the new office in Kurdistan, and stressed his country's support to the Government and the Peshmerga forces of Kurdistan.
