In another aspect of his trip to Moscow, Hemin Hawrami, accompanied by his delegation, held meetings with members of the Russian Federal Assembly where they discussed bilateral ties with the Kurdistan Region and the latest political situation.
The KDP's Head of Foreign Relations Office emphasised the role of president Barzani and the KDP’s leadership in a round of talks with Andrey Klimov member of the Russian Federal Assembly and Fyodor Lukyanov, Head of academic dept. of the Valaday Cluband discussed how they are handling the domestic issues facing Kurdistan. They highlighted and showed praise for the Peshmerga forces where the Russian parliamentarians stressed on additional support and military aid.
Mr Hawrami touched on the economic crisis in Kurdistan where he explained that the while the region is facing financial difficulty, its leaders are conducting numerous attempts to resolve the issue and to ease rising tensions with the central government in Baghdad.
For their part, the Russian parliamentarians expressed further praise to the KDP for actively focusing on tackling the objections which has gripped the region in recent times.
