Hemin Hawrami stressed that the Kurds have always reached a political solution to all problems, whether with the Iraqi government, or within the region, and pointed out that the Kurdistan Democratic Party look to resolve their differences for the sake of the people.
The Head of KDP'S Foreign Relations Office made the comments during a meeting with Ms Elizabeth Coble, Political Desk Officer at the US Consul in Erbil, and Ms Aleseen Dyess, Political Officer, for a round of talks to discuss the latest military and security situation in the Kurdistan region.
Both sides emphasised on bilateral relations between Kurdistan and the United States where they spoke of administrative developments.
Mr Hawrami also pointed to the issue of the referendum, saying that this process is done in consultation with the federal government.
For her part, Miss Coble highlighted the importance of democratic and peaceful coexistence in Kurdistan and expressed her satisfaction with the Kurdish role in Baghdad, where she hoped the tensions between Erbil and the Iraqi government will be resolved.
