President Barzani Meets with Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces

President Masoud Barzani received Mr. Mazloum Abdi, General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), on Friday, February 6, 2026, in Pirmam.

The meeting focused on the situation in Western Kurdistan, the implementation of the agreement reached between the Syrian government and the SDF, and the latest developments in Syria.

President Barzani urged both sides to fully adhere to the terms of the agreement and stressed the importance of coordination among all parties to safeguard and strengthen the rights of the Kurdish people in Syria in the coming phase, within the framework of the constitution.
