President Barzani meets US Senators McCain, Lieberman and Graham

Salahaddin, Kurdistan - Iraq (KRP.org) - President Masoud Barzani met US Senators Joe Lieberman, John McCain, and Lindsey Graham to talk about latest developments in Iraq and in the region in general. The US Senators, who arrived in Erbil via Baghdad, said they wanted to hear President Barzani’s views on the political challenges facing Iraq and on the situation in Syria and its impact on Iraq and the KRG. Senator Joe Lieberman said they are visiting the Kurdistan Region as friends of the Kurdish people. President Barzani and the US senators talked at length about the political issues that have beset the Iraqi political process since the formation of the current government in 2010, as well as the situation in Syria and its Kurdish community.
