Message from President Barzani on the Occasion of the Election of the New Patriarch of the Chaldean Church

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

On the occasion of his election as the new Patriarch of the Chaldean Church worldwide, I extend my warmest congratulations and sincere best wishes to His Beatitude Patriarch Mar Paulus III Nona, as well as to all members of the Chaldean Church in Kurdistan, Iraq, and throughout the world.

I wish His Beatitude every success in his new spiritual mission, and I hope that his election will further strengthen the values of coexistence, tolerance, and mutual respect among the diverse communities of Iraq and Kurdistan.

On this occasion, we also reaffirm our steadfast support for the rights and legitimate aspirations of our Christian brothers and sisters, along with those of all other religious communities in Iraq and Kurdistan. We emphasize that Kurdistan will always remain a guardian of the culture of coexistence, brotherhood, and harmony among all components of society.
