Dubravka Šuica, European Commissioner for the Mediterranean and the Middle East: we will continue to support the people of Kurdistan.

On the second day of the International Democracy Union (IDU) Forum, the Kurdistan Democratic Party delegation, headed by Mr. Hoshyar Siwaily, held a number of constructive meetings and exchanges with senior political figures, officials, parliamentarians, representatives of political parties, research and policy centers, and international institutions from Europe and the United States.

As part of these engagements, the KDP delegation met with H.E. Dubravka Šuica, European Commissioner for the Mediterranean and the Middle East; the Hon. Tony P. Clement, Chairman of the Canadian Conservatives; H.E. Petro Poroshenko, the fifth President of Ukraine; as well as delegations and representatives from Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Albania, the United States, Chile, Australia, Bosnia, and several other countries.

These meetings provided an important opportunity to exchange views on recent regional and international developments, strengthen channels of cooperation, and discuss shared priorities and values. In this context, particular emphasis was placed on advancing peace, security, democratic values, stability, and prosperity for the people of Kurdistan and other peoples.

The Head of the KDP Foreign Relations Office reaffirmed the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s commitment to dialogue, partnership, and international cooperation. He also expressed the KDP’s readiness to further strengthen relations with like-minded parties and institutions that share common values.

The delegation also underlined the importance of continued engagement and partnership between the Kurdistan Region and international partners in addressing challenges and issues that require collective efforts and joint solutions.

The participation of the KDP delegation in the International Democracy Union Forum reflects the Party’s continued commitment to strengthening international relations, exchanging political experiences, and contributing to discussions on democracy, security, greater support for the legitimate cause of the people of Kurdistan, the development of relations, and the building of a peaceful and prosperous future for nations.

The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) has been officially invited to participate in the International Democracy Union (IDU) Forum, held in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia.
