Message from the Foreign Relations Office on the 50th Anniversary of the Gulan Revolution

On the 50th anniversary of the outbreak of the Gulan Revolution, the Foreign Relations Office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party extends its warmest congratulations to the people of Kurdistan, President Masoud Barzani, the members of the Central Committee, and all members and friends of our Party. With deep appreciation, we bow in respect to the heroic Peshmerga, commanders, strugglers, and all those who participated in this historic revolution.

The Gulan Revolution demonstrated the resilience, iron will, and unbreakable strength of the people of Kurdistan. This revolution proved that, despite oppression, injustice, crises, and the plots of enemies, the people of Kurdistan have always possessed the ability to rise again, reorganize themselves, defend their homeland, and continue their legitimate struggle for freedom, dignity, and national rights.

As the continuation of the great September Revolution, the Gulan Revolution carried a powerful message of steadfastness, unity, resilience, and renewal. Once again, this revolution reminded the world that the struggle of the people of Kurdistan is rooted in belief in justice, freedom, peaceful coexistence, and the protection of identity, homeland, and constitutional and legal rights.

On this important occasion, we reaffirm our commitment to the Barzani path as our enduring legacy. We also emphasize the diplomatic efforts and vision of the late Kak Idris in achieving stability, unity, and the realization of our objectives. We further renew our message that we will continue to protect and defend the rights, achievements, stability, and future of the people of Kurdistan through struggle, dialogue, diplomacy, and national commitment.
