Head of KDP Foreign Relations Office Attends Russia Day Commemoration

This evening, Mr. Hoshyar Siwaily, Head of the Foreign Relations Office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, participated in a ceremony held to commemorate Russia Day, which is observed annually on June 12 and is regarded as one of the Russian Federation’s most important national holidays.

Russia Day marks a significant moment in the country’s modern history. Its origins date back to 1990, when the Congress of People’s Deputies of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic adopted the “Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic.” This declaration represented an important step in the political transformation that later led to the dissolution of the Soviet Union and the emergence of the Russian Federation.

The participation of the Head of the KDP Foreign Relations Office in this occasion reflects the importance of maintaining diplomatic engagement, mutual respect, and constructive relations with the Consulate General of the Russian Federation and the international diplomatic community in the Kurdistan Region.
