A delegation from the Foreign Relations Office attends the King’s Day of the Kingdom of Netherlands in Erbil.

A delegation from the Foreign Relations Office headed by Hoshyar Siwaily attended the 50th birthday celebration of King William Alexander, the King of Netherlands in Erbil, Kurdistan Region. The event was organized by the General Consulate of the kingdom of Netherlands and well attended by representatives of diplomatic Core in Erbil and representatives of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), the political parties, and business community. In a statement the Consul General emphasized that her country would continue its support to Kurdistan Region and thanked the KRG for their determined fight against ISIS and their humanitarian intervention in providing a safe refuge for hundreds of thousands of refugees and IDPs who fled the previous and ongoing military operations in Syria and Iraq. The head of the KRG’s Foreign Relations Department, in a congratulation speech, thanked the Consul General, the Government and the People of Netherlands for their military assistance to the Peshmerga Forces during the current fight against ISIS and their support in other areas.
